Colors of Creation
Verse 1
Yahweh started the first day, so dark and black,
Then He said, "Let there be light!" and pushed the darkness back!
Yellow and bright, the sunshine so grand,
A world full of light, by Yahweh's guiding hand.
Verse 2
On day two, a beautiful sight,
Yahweh made the sky, a lovely blue, oh so bright!
Clouds like white cotton, floating so high,
Blue seas and water oh my!
Verse 3
Day three, the green and brown appeared,
Yahweh made the land and plants you see.
Green grass and trees, flowers of every hue,
Red, orange, purple and sunny yellow too!
Verse 4
Day four, the stars began to gleam,
Yahweh made the sun and moon, like a colorful dream!
Yellow and white, the moon and the twinkling stars,
Shining so brightly, reaching out so far.
Verse 5
On day five, the world filled with cheer,
Yahweh made birds for all to hear.
Colorful fish, swimming so free,
They were painted by Yahweh for all to see.
Verse 6
Day six, more creatures, furry and grand,
Yahweh made man and animals to roam the land!
Brown bears and elephants, grey and strong,
Animals of all colors, where they all belong.
Verse 7
Day seven came, Yahweh had done His best,
He looked at His work, then He took a rest.
The seventh day was set apart!
Made by Yahweh's guiding hand,
Everything good, all shining bright,
All praising Yahweh, for His colors of creation!
